The goal of implementing a Product Information Management (PIM) system is to centralize all product-relevant information available company-wide. Potential savings arise from avoiding redundancies in various systems and reducing maintenance effort in individual departments.
With prodexa, all product data is available to customers, prospects, and employees for sales support. Furthermore, the data will be exported to various output channels (price lists, main and sub-catalogs, CD-ROMs, etc.) as well as to TecDoc (a common electronic catalog for the automotive aftermarket).
The extraction of data into print catalogs remains a focus. In the future, the main catalog will be automatically produced directly from prodexa. Manual revision in the DTP system will be carried out via appropriate interfaces (InDesign plugin).
