Data Pool: Provide, distribute, and use product information

The prodexa data pool is an open platform for the provision, distribution, and use of product information. Manufacturers and suppliers can provide their product information in full and in all formats. Retailers, marketplaces, and channels can receive the data and use it in their sales and purchasing platforms. All functions are available as self-service, which means that manufacturers and retailers can carry out the provision and receipt of product information themselves.

Data pool

Manufacturers and suppliers

Data provision and data exchange is very simple for manufacturers and suppliers in the data pool. Companies can import individual products as well as catalogs into the data pool. All formats such as CSV, Excel, or XML can be read in, as well as standard formats such as BMEcat. As a data supplier, I can use my own group and classification systems as well as standard systems such as ETIM or ECLASS. The integration and provision of the data is therefore done quickly.

Easy and fast exchange of current product information

The exchange of product information in the data pool and syndication is simple and fast. Standard formats, customer- and supplier-specific formats, and self-defined formats can be read in from the manufacturers, so that data can be provided easily and without integration effort.

Simple, free PIM for manufacturers

The prodexa data pool offers simple product information management (PIM) for manufacturers. After the manufacturer has provided the data, the product information can be edited and changed. The corrected or improved information is then available for download in all output formats. This means that the data pool can not only be used between manufacturers and suppliers, but also enables manufacturers to use it for their own target groups and sales activities.

Testing and quality

Testing and quality

The data pool offers extensive testing and quality rules for product information. In addition to predefined tests, both manufacturers and retailers can define their own test rules and apply them. Rules can check the quality of product properties/attributes as well as ensure the correctness of individual product groups. This allows manufacturers and data suppliers to ensure that the product information is correct and that only correct information is provided for trade and distribution.

Supplier integration for distribution and trade

Retailers can subscribe to the catalogs and product information of individual manufacturers and are automatically informed of updates. Changes to product data are made transparent, as are price changes and media updates. By defining their own quality rules, retailers can define their own data quality as well as specific tests for critical product groups or important suppliers.
