New Online Strategy for ZWILLING

ZWILLING J.A. Henckels AG initiates a successful collaboration with denkwerk in the field of digitalization: The digital agency relaunched the online shop at zwilling-shop.com. Initially, zwilling.com and miyabi-knives.com took the first step. These brand websites complement the shop and provide users with a unique shopping experience. The goal of this complex project is to establish a new e-commerce strategy with all brands under one roof and standardize systems worldwide.

Project Inception

Brands like ZWILLING, Staub, Miyabi, Demeyere, BSF, and many others are part of the ZWILLING Group, known worldwide for high-quality kitchen and beauty products. Therefore, the beginning of the project involved an intensive strategy and analysis phase. Marco Zingler, Managing Director of denkwerk, explains: “The global structure of ZWILLING on the web was complex: individual countries or brands used different content management and shop systems, there was little design unity, and no common e-commerce strategy. With the new approach, all digital channels work together effectively, guiding the customer from the brand to online purchase – worldwide.”

“The ZWILLING Group pursues a clear multichannel strategy, reaching the customer on all channels with media-appropriate and relevant information. This makes the purchase decision easier for the customer, whether they implement it online or offline.”

prodexa Cloud PIM is Part of the New IT Infrastructure

Denkwerk is responsible for strategic consulting. Consequently, the company is also responsible for the information architecture, design, and technical implementation of the websites and shop in responsive design. Adobe CQ5, Oxid eSales, and prodexa PIM (formerly jCatalog) are part of the new technical infrastructure. The Product Information Management system will provide a common basis for all product data worldwide in the future. The online shop, which connects the brands, launches first in Germany, followed by the USA, UK, and Japan. Next, denkwerk and ZWILLING will launch the shop and individual brand sites in up to 15 more countries.

Foundation for Global Digital Strategy

“With the launch in the German market, we have laid the foundation to quickly and efficiently roll out the ZWILLING Group’s global digital strategy,” reports Daniela Zbick, Head of Online Marketing at ZWILLING J.A. Henckels AG. The new ZWILLING online shop is accessible at www.zwilling.com.
