The internationally successful manufacturer for heating technology relies on a modern software solution to harmonise product data and provide expert advice to customers. The long-established company Viessmann Werke GmbH & Co. KG with its headquarters in Allendorf is using the data management system by prodexa Cloud (formerly jCatalog) for the expansion and restructuring of its entire sales process. The specialised skills of the software manufacturer are equally beneficial when it comes to providing expert advice to customers, which is now accomplished with an optimised product display design via tablet PCs.
The target pursued by Viessmann GmbH was to adapt internal business processes and make holistic information about product services optimally available to interested parties using structured data storage. Access to the central and current product catalogue was a key feature for presentation to the customer. Along with detailed data, sales advisors needed access to an online price list to record orders and offers and to generate customer data electronically.
As a productive solution for the heating technology provider, prodexa Cloud (formerly jCatalog) combined a variant of the Product Information Management (PIM) individually tailored to Viessmann along with the Online Product Catalogue (OPC). The result: sales employees and customers of Viessmann companies now have access to a mobile product catalogue on a tablet PC that plays a major role in adapting customer-specific data and accelerating the company’s internal processes. The work required for data entry alone was immediately reduced by 75% thanks to the creation of offers and the elimination of double entries.
prodexa Cloud (formerly jCatalog) was able to fully satisfy the specific expectations of the internationally operating heating technology firm. The product information software PIM meets all Viessmann development standards and was optimally installed in the company’s current central SAP master data management system. The PIM ensures accurate and up-to-date product data for Viessmann along the entire value chain and reduces the work required for data catalogue administration. The software’s multi-lingual operating capacity also contributes to the solution’s international usability and robustly manages the large user figures of the heating technology manufacturer.
