At Westfalia-Automotive, industry-specific products are maintained and managed using prodexa Cloud PIM (formerly jCatalog). For print publication and catalogue creation across all sales channels, the module prodexa Cloud CMP (Cross Media Publisher) is also used.
Westfalia-Automotive product data are automatically managed and used via prodexa Cloud PIM. The PIM system has been known in the automotive sector for years now and benefits from extensive knowledge of the industry. Thanks to prodexa Cloud PIM, Westfalia is able to represent the complexity and multi-dimensionality of its 7,500 products along with their applications and to use specific data formats from the automotive industry such as TecDoc. Product data are compiled globally into so-called master products to prevent errors during new creation and maintenance. Data consistency is also ensured by the bi-directional interface with the ERP system through which data are transferred. The Westfalia-Automotive website features an export including product data. This export is automatically scheduled in the background. Together with the prodexa Cloud CMP module, the catalogue and accessory list are designed and automatically exported in PDF format.
A new road has been discovered for project management. In contrast to conventional project management based on the cascade model, agile project management was used here to meet all expectations dynamically and flexibly – not to mention more efficiently and quickly. This is extremely important for Westfalia. As the European market leader, Westfalia develops and produces in close collaboration with the automotive industry for nearly all vehicle manufacturers.
