With the introduction of prodexa Cloud (formerly jCatalog), the use of product information at TKD Kabel GmbH has become significantly more varied. This is because data needs to be available for more than just sales and marketing. TKD Kabel GmbH, one of the leading providers of cables and cable accessories worldwide, relies on prodexa Cloud PIM (formerly jCatalog) for its complex, decentralised data storage system. The design and production of the catalogue comprising more than 30,000 items in all necessary languages is no longer executed based on individual data sheets, but rather by directly feeding in product information with unified data in a substantially more efficient and time-saving process. These data are used throughout the entire company in the different departments for various channels. The products are also displayed for specific industries on TKD’s website and customers who were only able to order the product catalogue online in the past can now directly order products from the website.
One key factor in the decision to use prodexa software was the enormous flexibility of information collected from various data sources as well as the focus on interface openness. As a result, the connection to the ERP system is very straightforward to establish, for example.
