With a new system for product data maintenance, Audi AG is relying on the latest technology in the area of accessories. prodexa Cloud PIM with an installed work flow engine is currently the central product data hub for global operation. This assists with internal work flows and also offers retailers and end customers the right data at the right time and place.
Processing time was drastically reduced in the phase of product data collection by introducing the specific role system. The entry and maintenance of data is accomplished with automated rule-based checks and the data release work flow. Even very large quantities of product data information can be reliably managed and forwarded to SAP or other ERP systems to ensure that current information is always accurate in these systems as well. Of course, the standard formats for the automotive industry are supported such as TecDoc. In addition, the usability of a product is automatically adapted to new developments over the entire lifecycle.
To fulfil all requirements, the PIM system displays the items in detail in the form of a clear tree hierarchy. It also includes multiple allocations of spare parts to different vehicle models along with compatibility information. Using prodexa Cloud DAM (Digital Asset Manager), the product images are reviewed, managed and allocated in prodexa Cloud PIM. Reviewed data can reduce incorrect orders. With consolidated data quality, error rates during further processing can be reduced Order processes now involve significantly fewer complaints and returns.
